ISEE-Degrowth 2025 Conference in Oslo - Call for Abstracts

The upcoming ISEE-Degrowth 2025, set for June 24-27 in Oslo, combines the 18th International Society for Ecological Economics Conference and the 11th International Degrowth Conference. This year’s theme is “Building Socially Just Postgrowth Futures - Linking Theory and Action.”

This conference is poised to make an impact beyond academia by involving a mix of policymakers, activists, NGOs, and more. Attendees can expect a program filled with plenary and parallel sessions that accommodate a variety of presentation formats, from academic research and policy discussions to activist experiences and artistic performances.

With a commitment to reducing environmental impact, the conference encourages submissions that explore innovative, practical approaches to linking ecological economics and degrowth theories with actionable strategies.

Submissions for abstracts are now open until January 20, 2025, at 23:59 CET. The conference welcomes both academic and non-academic presentations, urging participants to consider how their work integrates theory with practical applications.

Interested contributors can submit their abstracts online here.
