Call for Participants: Practice-Based Fashion Research Network

The Practice-Based Fashion Research Network, funded by the AHRC and a collaborative effort between Northumbria University and Parsons School of Design, is currently inviting applications for a unique project that will run from September 2024 to July 2026. This initiative is designed to explore and expand the role of practice-based research within fashion studies and fashion practice as a tool for knowledge generation and dissemination.
Our Climate Present
On Thursday, December 5, Falmouth University and The Independent will host “Our Climate Present,” an event on sustainable fashion. This day-long event will take place at the Fashion and Textile Museum. The program is designed to address the role of sustainability in fashion, coinciding with World Climate Day. Attendees will engage with a range of topics through talks and hands-on workshops.
World Hope Forum
On Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 15:00–18:00 CET (Paris) the World Hope Forum will host a virtual event focused on cultural sustainability, curated by Monica Boța-Moisin. This free event, titled Interdependence, Interconnectedness, Kin & Care, will explore how cultural knowledge systems and values of kinship and care can transform creative and social landscapes for a more inclusive future.
